The Barn Theatre, Little Easton

Greville Theatre Company Open Day

Sunday 2nd June 2pm till 5pm

The Barn Theatre and Turkey Barn, Little Easton Manor, Park Road, Little Easton CM6 2JN

Do you enjoy amateur theatre?

Would you be interested in finding out about how an amateur theatre company works? Have you ever thought that you might like to join an amateur theatre group?

The Greville Theatre Company would like to invite you to our informal open day. Come along and meet our members and see our wonderful performance space.

The Barn Theatre has seen performances on its stage since 1913 when the Countess of Warwick paid to have the medieval tithe barn transformed into a performance space and we have had the privilege of performing on this stage for almost 60 years.

The company will be here to greet you with a welcoming beverage and something tasty to eat whilst you can freely wander around our displays telling the story of how a theatre company like ours goes about staging a production and introduce you to some of our members who have played their parts with the many and varied roles/jobs/involvement required in being a member.

It goes without saying that actors are needed and if you are wishing to be an actor in our company then you would be most welcome. However, you may be surprised at the wide variety of roles that are needed within a successful company that does not involve getting upon a stage to act.

  • Directing
  • Stage Design
  • Stage Production
  • Prompting, Costumes
  • Props
  • Sound and Lighting
  • Front of House
  • Publicity
  • Ticket Sales and many more.

These non-acting roles are an integral and vital part of any production. Maybe it would be this side of the company that would most interest you?

Do come along, we are sure you will find the afternoon interesting and informative. You might even find that you want to join our friendly troupe.
